This pond is approximately 1/3 acre and consists of about 3,600 cubic yards of soil.  Ponds may be constructed for approximately $1.35 per cubic yard. 

This pond functions as a watering facility for livestock.

Note: this pond is fenced to exclude livestock and is plumbed to a watering facility below it.  See link in "Watering Facilities" below.

The photograph to the left is an example of a freeze-proof tank.  This concrete tank is buried in a pond dam and therefore protected from freezing.
