Ponds and Watering Facility Information

The Natural Resources Conservation Service offers technical information for construction and maintenance of ponds and watering facilities.  Contact Richard Gutierrez (Engineering Technician) at 479-442-4160 ext. 110 for more information.

NRCS Designed Pond

This pond is approximately 1/3 acre and consists of about 3,600 cubic yards of soil.  Ponds may be constructed for approximately $1.35 per cubic yard. 

This pond functions as a watering facility for livestock.

Note: this pond is fenced to exclude livestock and is plumbed to a watering facility below it.  See link in "Watering Facilities" below.
